California Love

I am a travel enthusiast. I have adored just about every destination I have visited. When asked where my favorite place is in the world, I simply cannot quantify or rank all of the magical places. However, when it comes to domestic travel, there is one state that stands far above the others, for me.

California has it all. There are miles upon miles of coastline, that include pristine beaches, surf breaks, untouched nature preserves, happening boardwalks, beautiful piers, immaculate resorts, stunning vistas, tall bluffs, rocky alcoves, towering cliffs, and spectacular sandy shores.

There are big cities, artsy small towns, surf communities, and everything in between.

California has such a broad range of environments, all within driving distance. In one day, you could swim in the Pacific, golf in the desert, and ski in the mountains. With its moderate climate, outdoor activities are everywhere you look. Whether you enjoy surfing, swimming, golfing, tennis, stand up paddling, cycling, running, hang gliding, kite surfing, skiing, snow boarding, or anything else, you can find it in California, and it will likely be some of the best that you've ever enjoyed.

If you are interested in movies and Hollywood history, LA has so much to offer. There are studio tours, celebrity stomping ground tours, bike tours, walking tours, bus tours, and more. You may just enjoy going to legendary places (that you've heard about, read about, or seen on screen) and simply enjoy the environments where talented icons have spent some of their time. There are seemingly unlimited choices of places to stay. There is literally somewhere for everyone (city, country, vineyards, mountains, beaches, motels, hotels, luxury resorts, rooms, apartments, homes, and luxury estates). You can choose one place, or hop around! The drives from place to place can be stunning. Sometimes the journey is almost as special as the destination.

The food, oh the food...you'll find some of the sweetest fruits, tastiest veggies, freshest seafood, and delectable combinations. California Cuisine is extraordinary. There are so many farm to table and organic restaurants, as well as local favorites like In-and-Out Burger. There are tons of authentic international restaurants that are utterly delicious, especially Mexican and Japanese. The choices in dining are abundant, and range from food trucks and farm stands, to Michelin gems.

If you are looking for a truly awe-inspiring destination, right here in our country, California may be for you. It certainly is for me.
